What are some simple daily habits of successful people?
“Our Lives are a sum total of the choices we have made.” – Wayne Dyer
The things that separate a successful person from those who will consistently struggle their whole lives all boils down to the consistent daily habits that person has. In other words, you can almost accurately predict where that person will be 1-year, 5-years and 10-years down the
road all depending on that person’s daily habits.
The daily habits of extremely successful people can be much longer, but most of those habits are really rooted in these top 9 daily habits.
9 Simply Daily Habits of Mega Successful Successful People
Wake Up Early:
In a successful person’s mind, waking 1 or 2 hours earlier has many benefits. In large part, this is all about the winner’s mindset and exercising discipline. It allows for more time to get important things done with minimal interruptions first thing in the morning. A quick win in the morning puts that person in the right frame of mind for the entire day.
Without momentum it is difficult to get things done no matter how well planned out your to-do list may be.
Exercising daily is all about keeping your mind and body in good health. It helps with increasing energy levels and combating stress.
It will help you think clearer and also make you a happier person.
Looks are important, but it’s the internal improvements brought on by exercising daily that will keep your body running like a well
oiled and tuned machine.
Eat a Healthy Balanced Diet:
This goes hand-in-hand with exercising daily. If you’re eating mostly processed foods, foods high in sugar and saturated fats, you’re bound to feel sluggish, tired and unmotivated.
It’s critical to carry a diet that will support an active lifestyle. This can be a post within itself, but in general a healthy diet consists of a diet based on starchy foods such as potatoes, bread, rice and pasta; with plenty of fruit and vegetables; some protein-rich foods such as beans, pulses, fish, eggs, meat and other proteins; some milk and dairy foods or dairy alternatives; and not too much fat, salt or sugar, will give you all the nutrients you need.
Read Positive Books:
Reading positive self improvement books daily is all about compressing time!
Not everyone can afford an expensive mentor or has the time to travel to different parts of the country to attend seminars, but what we can do is read daily.
Think about it, it may have taken an author 30 years to acquire the skills written in the book, and maybe another 5 to 10 years to write the book, get it published and distributed. All you had to do was simply buy the book and read it.
Reading daily is one tool grossly underutilized by the masses, but a preferred weapon by the ultra wealthy. Anything and everything you ever wanted to learn has already been written in a book and available for your consumption.
Listen to Positive Audio:
As in the previous habit, listening to positive audio is all about self improvement and compressing time.
Lets face it, we all lead busy lives and more often than not it’s a challenge to sit down and read a book.
Anytime on a commute or doing chores around the house, it’s really easy to find some valuable content on YouTube or a Podcast.
Focus on Goal Oriented Activities:
If you’re reading this, chances are you probably have goals. Anything that doesn’t help you focus on goal oriented activities should be
cut out completely. In other words, ‘cut out the fat’ that doesn’t produce results.
Focus your day around a simple yet effective list. I would start with the list on this post and tailor my activities around some very specific and clear goals.
Share Their Knowledge with Others:
The ultimate goal in self improvement through reading and listening is all about giving back.
Successful people reach greatness because they’ve gotten really good at solving other peoples problems in large quantities. The focus was never on acquiring money or stuff. It was all about helping someone else solve a problem.
Focus on mastering your craft by acquiring knowledge through reading, listening and doing. Through this process, focus on paying it forward and giving that knowledge back to the universe in the same manner it was given to you.
Help Others with No Monetary Attachment:
Helping others is simply just that. This has everything to do with gratitude. Strive to help at least one person daily without expecting anything in return and watch your blessing compound 100 fold.
Plan The Day Ahead:
Don’t let your head hit the pillow without planning out the following day. Without a sense of direction, you’re bound to get tied up in someone else’s busy agenda.
Keep things simple to keep yourself moving forward. Some forward progress is always better than no progress at all.
All The Best,
