What would you do if today was your Last Day to Live?
People are buzzing all over about the End of the World today!
The Mayan Calendar finishes one of its great cycles tomorrow … on December 21, at 11:11 (UTC)
… and according to many, today may be our Last Day to Live!
That got me thinking, “What if Today really Was MY Last Day To Live?”
… that would totally and completely SUCK, because here I am stuck at work writing this blog post
Not that I hate blogging … but that I’m here, stuck at work!
So what the Heck Would I do if it Was My Last Day to Live?
This is actually a very hard question … and have never really given it much thought
… you really can’t jump on the next plane out to Bora Bora, cuz chances of spending your last waking moments will probably be spent on a plane!
Considering I may be meeting my maker in less than 24 hours … I think I would start with personal actions!
#1 I would first record a Video Blog … just in case there’s survivors. I would probably tape this on my Cassette Camcorder. Yeah, I know … I still got one of those archaic pieces of junk, Lol.
I would record all of the things I am grateful for, what my life was like, and the things I would have done if given more time.
#2 I would then go and make peace with everyone I’ve had an issue with in the past.
I would make peace with family, friends and neighbors.
#3 I would then go and spend the remaining time with my wife and kids.
We live in San Diego, so it’s not hard to find spots that bring a sense of relaxation and calmness.
I love Sunset Cliffs. I would go here often with my wife before we were married.
Watching and hearing the waves crashing gives the most awesome feeling. It reminds me that God is in control of everything.
#4 I would probably end my day at Home with my Wife and Kids … in prayer.
I would make sure they knew I loved them very much.
If it were my Last Day to Live, it is clear to me that I would not spend my time in materialistic and selfish things …
… the things I would spend my time on would be those things most important to me
and that’s FAMILY!
